Diane Allford is a multifaceted photographer, multimedia artist, and visual content producer working in New York City. She studied photography at the School of Visual Arts and then went on to establish her career as a photo editor, picture researcher + visual content producer with BET Magazines–YSB (Young Sisters and Brothers), Emerge, and Heart + Soul magazines, Random House Publishers, Scholastic Inc., Newsweek, Business Week, NAACP’s–The Crisis Magazine and others…
Over the span of her career Diane’s influence is evident on many pages of a variety of books and consumer magazines working with art and creative directors, she commissioned and researched illustration, photography and video. After many years on the publishing side she now brings her own photography to the forefront.
Diane’s photography capture the story as it unfolds in front of her. This could mean that a fashion, documentary, portraiture or conceptual approach is needed.
Diane creates imagery using still photography and motion in some cases to tell peoples stories about the things that’s important to their lives. She’s passionate about illustrating narratives that create interest and inspiration leaving the subject with a positive experience.
